Agni (Fire), addressing Brahmā
It reflects a common Purāṇic motif: cosmic entities (here Agni) are genealogically linked to a creator-figure’s affective power (Brahmā’s krodha), illustrating how cosmology and narrative psychology are interwoven in Purāṇic literature.
No geographic location is named in this verse; the focus is on cosmological identity and the granting of a designation associated with worldwide renown.
The verse foregrounds the cultural-philosophical theme that social or cosmic recognition is tied to legitimate authorization (a designation granted by an acknowledged authority), rather than being self-assumed.
