Sukta 9.72
हरिं मृजन्त्यरुषो न युज्यते सं धेनुभिः कलशे सोमो अज्यते । उद्वाचमीरयति हिन्वते मती पुरुष्टुतस्य कति चित्परिप्रियः ॥
háriṁ mṛjanti aruṣó ná yujyate sáṁ dhenúbhiḥ kalaśé sómo ajyate | udvā́cam ī́rayati hinváte matī́ puruṣṭutásya káti cit paripriyáḥ ||
They cleanse the tawny one; like a red-gold steed he is yoked to the work. With the milk-streams he is poured into the jar; Soma is anointed into his vessel of becoming. He lifts up the word and sets the thought in motion; to the much-praised, he becomes in many ways the intimate beloved.
