Forth from the cattle-stall we drive you; forth from the axle, forth from the wain. Forth from our houses we chase you, ye daughters of Magundī.
Rishi: Atharvanic/Angiras-type tradition (specific r̥ṣi attribution depends on anukramaṇī for AVŚ 2.14).
Devata: Apotropaic expulsion; the mantra targets Magundī and her ‘daughters’ (hostile beings) rather than invoking a beneficent deity.
Chandas: Anuṣṭubh (probable; to be confirmed against pada-count in the edition used).
Primary: raudra
Secondary: vira
