Sukta 21
यु॒धा युध॒मुप॒ घेदे॑षि धृष्णु॒या पु॒रा पुरं॒ समि॒दं हं॒स्योज॑सा । नम्या॒ यदि॑न्द्र॒ सख्या॑ परा॒वति॑ निब॒र्हयो॒ नमु॑चिं॒ नाम॑ मा॒यिन॑म्
yudhā́ yudhám úpa ghéd eṣi dhṛ́ṣṇuyā purā́ púraṃ sám idáṃ haṃsy ójasā | námyā yád indra sákhya parāváti nibárhayo námuciṃ nā́ma māyínam
With battle upon battle thou surely advancest in boldness; this fort thou smitest utterly with might. When, O Indra, for friendship’s sake, in the far region, thou didst crush down Namuci—crafty, named (as such).
યુદ્ધ પર યુદ્ધ કરીને તું નિશ્ચયે ધૃષ્ટતાથી આગળ વધે છે; આ કિલ્લાને તું પોતાના બળથી સંપૂર્ણપણે ચકનાચૂર કરે છે. હે ઇન્દ્ર, મિત્રતાના હિતે, દૂર પ્રદેશમાં, તું ‘નમુચિ’ નામના માયાવીને દબાવીને નાશ કર્યો.
