Sukta 63

Mantra 1

क्व त्या वल्गू पुरुहूताद्य दूतो न स्तोमोऽविदन्नमस्वान् । आ यो अर्वाङ्नासत्या ववर्त प्रेष्ठा ह्यसथो अस्य मन्मन् ॥

Where are those two gracious ones, much-invoked, today? Like a messenger the hymn has found the one who bows. Turn hither, O Nāsatyas—for you are indeed the most beloved helpers of this inward thought.

Mantra 2

अरं मे गन्तं हवनायास्मै गृणाना यथा पिबाथो अन्धः । परि ह त्यद्वर्तिर्याथो रिषो न यत्परो नान्तरस्तुतुर्यात् ॥

Come readily for my call—so that, while we sing, you may drink the pressed delight. For you go around that course as a protection from harm, so that neither what is beyond nor what is within may break through to wound.

Mantra 3

अकारि वामन्धसो वरीमन्नस्तारि बर्हिः सुप्रायणतमम् । उत्तानहस्तो युवयुर्ववन्दा वां नक्षन्तो अद्रय आञ्जन् ॥

For you two, the wide-flowing ecstasy (Soma-delight) has been prepared; the sacred seat of offering has been spread, most fit for your auspicious coming. With hands uplifted the soul that seeks union has bowed to you; and the pressing-stones, reaching you, anoint and quicken the delight.

Mantra 4

ऊर्ध्वो वामग्निरध्वरेष्वस्थात्प्र रातिरेति जूर्णिनी घृताची । प्र होता गूर्तमना उराणोऽयुक्त यो नासत्या हवीमन् ॥

Upright for you in the offerings stands the Fire of the Will; forward moves the giving—swift, flowing, bright with clarified delight. Forward the invoking priest, with intent made straight and wide, has yoked the rite, O Nāsatyas, for the bearer of the oblation within us.

Mantra 5

अधि श्रिये दुहिता सूर्यस्य रथं तस्थौ पुरुभुजा शतोतिम् । प्र मायाभिर्मायिना भूतमत्र नरा नृतू जनिमन्यज्ञियानाम् ॥

For the sake of the glory, the Daughter of the Sun has taken her stand upon the chariot—she of many enjoyments, of hundredfold help. By your powers of shaping, O lords of skill, become manifest here, O strong ones, leaders in the movement, at the birth of the sacred workings.

Mantra 6

युवं श्रीभिर्दर्शताभिराभिः शुभे पुष्टिमूहथुः सूर्यायाः । प्र वां वयो वपुषेऽनु पप्तन्नक्षद्वाणी सुष्टुता धिष्ण्या वाम् ॥

You two, by your visible splendors, carry forward the growth and plenitude for the fair Sūryā. For your body of power our energies fly outward and follow; and our well-fashioned speech attains you, O lords of the luminous seats.

Mantra 7

आ वां वयोऽश्वासो वहिष्ठा अभि प्रयो नासत्या वहन्तु । प्र वां रथो मनोजवा असर्जीषः पृक्ष इषिधो अनु पूर्वीः ॥

May your swiftest horses bring you here, O Nāsatyas, bearing our offering-force. Forth has your chariot been released, driven by the speed of mind, following the many ancient tracks of the seeking and the impulsion.

Mantra 8

पुरु हि वां पुरुभुजा देष्णं धेनुं न इषं पिन्वतमसक्राम् । स्तुतश्च वां माध्वी सुष्टुतिश्च रसाश्च ये वामनु रातिमग्मन् ॥

For you two, O wide-givers, are many the distributions: like a milch-cow, make our impulsion abound, unceasing. And may the honeyed praise and the well-formed hymn, and the sap-full tastes that follow after your giving, increase within us.

Mantra 9

उत म ऋज्रे पुरयस्य रघ्वी सुमीळ्हे शतं पेरुके च पक्वा । शाण्डो दाद्धिरणिनः स्मद्दिष्टीन्दश वशासो अभिषाच ऋष्वान् ॥

And for me, in the straight-going and swift (movement), in the well-graced seeking, there came a hundred ripe fulfillments. A strong bull gave golden gifts, ten mighty cows, close-clinging, lofty in force—tokens of the divine help made concrete in life.

Mantra 10

सं वां शता नासत्या सहस्राश्वानां पुरुपन्था गिरे दात् । भरद्वाजाय वीर नू गिरे दाद्धता रक्षांसि पुरुदंससा स्युः ॥

May there be gathered for you, O Nāsatyas, hundreds—yes, thousands—of horse-powers; may the many-pathed song give them. For Bharadvāja, O heroes, now let the hymn bestow; and by your many deeds smite the dark assailers, so the powers of harm are undone.

Mantra 11

आ वां सुम्ने वरिमन्त्सूरिभिः ष्याम् ॥

May we be with you in the wideness of your blissful favor, together with the illumined givers.
