Discrimination of the Three Bodies and the Dharaṇī Vow: A Manual for Dvādaśī Observance
प्रतिपद्य गुरुं यस्तु मोहाद् विप्रतिपद्यते । स जन्मकोटि नरके पच्यते पुरुषाधमः । विधानस्य प्रदाता यो गुरुरित्युच्यते बुधैः ॥ ३९.५५ ॥
pratipadya guruṃ yastu mohād vipratipadyate | sa janmakoṭi narake pacyate puruṣādhamaḥ | vidhānasya pradātā yo gurur ity ucyate budhaiḥ || 39.55 ||
Wer jedoch, nachdem er einen Lehrer angenommen hat, aus Verblendung gegen ihn aufbegehrt, jener Niedrigste unter den Menschen, so heißt es, wird in der Hölle für ein Koṭi an Geburten gequält. Die Weisen nennen „Guru“ den, der die rechte Vorschrift (Vidhāna) verleiht.
