Transliteration

jyótir yajñā́ya ródasī́ ánu ṣyād ā́re syāma duritásya bhū́reḥ | bhū́ri cid dhí tujátó mártyasya su-pārā́so vasavo barháṇāvat ||

Translation

Möge dem Opfer das Licht folgen, und mögen Himmel und Erde ihm beistehen; mögen wir fern sein von der reichen Fülle des Unheils. Denn zahlreich sind wahrlich die Bedrängnisse des Sterblichen, der bedrängt wird; doch ihr, o Vasus, seid gute Hinüberführer, die Kraft tragend, zu heben und zu weiten.
