Sukta 4.55
देवैर्नो देव्यदितिर्नि पातु देवस्त्राता त्रायतामप्रयुच्छन् । नहि मित्रस्य वरुणस्य धासिमर्हामसि प्रमियं सान्वग्नेः ॥
deváir no devy áditir ní pātu devás trātā́ trāyatām áprayucchan | náhi mitrásya váruṇasya dhā́sím árhāmasi pramíyaṃ sā́nv agnéḥ ||
لتَحْمِنا الإلهةُ أديتي مع الآلهة؛ ولْيُنْجِنا الحامي الإلهيُّ دونَ فتور. فإنّا لا نستحقّ أن نُنقِصَ الشرائعَ الراسخةَ لِمِترا وفَرونا، ولا أن نهويَ عن القمّةِ الثابتة—لهيبِ أَغني، نارِ التطلّع.
