जटाजिनधराः काले वल्कलोत्तरवाससः।ऋषय स्त्ववगाहन्ते नदीं मन्दाकिनीं प्रिये।।।।

يا حبيبتي، في الساعة المعيّنة ينزل الرِّشِيّون (ṛṣi)—ذوو الشَّعر المُلبَّد، لابسو جلود الأيائل، متوشّحون بلحاء الشجر—إلى نهر ماندَاكيني (Mandākinī) للاغتسال.
