أيها الملك، هذا الممر الضيق يؤدي إلى أشرم أبي. فاذهب واسترضِه واطلب رضاه، لئلا يلعنك إذا اشتد غضبه.
'O king, this footpath leads to my father's hermitage. Go and beg his forgiveness so that he may not curse you out of anger.
It teaches prāyaścitta in practice: approach the wronged party, speak truth, and seek reconciliation rather than fleeing consequences.
Śravaṇa directs the king to his father’s āśrama and advises him to appease the grieving ascetic to avoid a curse.
Guidance rooted in righteousness: Śravaṇa offers the king a path toward accountability even after a grave mistake.
