tāṃ bhujābhyāṃ pariṣvajya śvaśrūr vacanam abravīt | anācarantī kṛpaṇaṃ mūrdhny upāghrāya maithilīm || 2.39.19 ||

Translation

فاحتضنتها حماتُها بذراعيها وقبَّلت مَيثِلي على جبينها، ثم خاطبتها—مع أنّ سيتا لم يكن في سلوكها ما يدعو إلى الشفقة.
