या द्विप॑क्षा॒ चतु॑ष्पक्षा॒ षट् प॑क्षा॒ या नि॑मी॒यते॑ । अ॒ष्टाप॑क्षां॒ दश॑पक्षां॒ शालां॒ मान॑स्य॒ पत्नी॑म॒ग्निर्गर्भ॑ इ॒वा श॑ये

yā dvípakṣā́ catúṣpakṣā́ ṣáṭpakṣā́ yā nimīyáte | aṣṭā́pakṣāṃ dáśapakṣāṃ śā́lāṃ mā́nasyá pátnīm agnír gárbha ivā́ śáye ||

She that is two-flanked, four-flanked, six-flanked—she that is duly measured out; the Hall of eight flanks, of ten flanks, Māna’s spouse—within her Agni, like an embryo, lieth at rest.

هي ذاتُ الجانبين، ذاتُ الأربعةِ جوانب، ذاتُ الستةِ جوانب—هي التي تُقاس وتُرسَم على وجهها. قاعةُ الثمانيةِ جوانب، قاعةُ العشرةِ جوانب، زوجةُ «مانا»—في داخلها يرقدُ «أغني» كجنينٍ في سكون.
