Sukta 68
इ॒दं ते॑ ह॒व्यं घृ॒तव॑त् सरस्वती॒दं पि॑तॄ॒णां ह॒विरा॒स्यं॑१ यत्। इ॒मानि॑ त उदि॒ता शंत॑मानि॒ तेभि॑र्व॒यं मधु॑मन्तः स्याम
idáṃ te havyáṃ ghṛtávat sárasvati idáṃ pitṝṇā́ṃ havír-āsyaṃ yát | imā́ni te uditā́ śáṃtamāni tébhir vayáṃ mádhuvantaḥ syāma ||
This oblation, rich with ghee, is thine, O Sarasvatī; this, which is the Fathers’ mouth of offering. These most gracious boons of thine, proclaimed forth—by them may we be honeyed, may we be sweet with prosperity.
هذه القُربانُ الغنيُّ بالسَّمْنِ (غْهْرِتا ghṛta) هو لكِ، يا سَرَسْوَتِي؛ وهذا هو الهَفِسُ الذي هو فمُ القُربانِ للـ«پِتْرِ» (الآباء/الأسلاف). وهذه العطايا الأشدُّ إيناسًا منكِ، المُعلَنةُ—بها لِنَكُنْ ذوي عَسَلٍ، ولِنَكُنْ حُلْوِينَ بالرخاء.
