تتوجّه هذه الترتيلة الوجيزة لطلب الظَّفَر بالزوج (pati-lābha) إلى أريامَن، حارس الزيجات المقرّة اجتماعيًّا، كي يأتي لفتاةٍ بزوجٍ لائق ويؤمّن انتقالها إلى زوجيّةٍ مثمرة. وهي تُقِرّ بساحة التنافس في اختيار الزواج ("الملتقى العام") وتلتمس عونًا إلهيًّا يمنحها الغلبة على المنافسين. وتُرسِي الآية الختامية الطلب على قدرة دْهاتَر (Dhātṛ) في ترتيب النظام الكوني، مُوحيةً بأن الزواج المتكافئ جزءٌ من ṛta (النظام الثابت) وأنه يفضي إلى الذرية والرخاء.

पतिलाभः। अ॒यमा या॑त्यर्य॒मा पु॒रस्ता॒द् विषि॑तस्तुपः । अ॒स्या इ॒चछन्न॒ग्रुवै॒ पति॑मु॒त जा॒याम॒जान॑ये
نَيْلُ الزوج. ها هو أريامانُ يُقبِلُ في المقدّمة، بتسبيحٍ مُحكَمِ الترتيب. راغبًا لهذه الفتاةِ في زوجٍ، وفي مقامِ الزوجة، لإنجابِ الذرّية.

अश्र॑मदि॒यम॑र्यमन्न॒न्यासां॒ सम॑नं य॒ती। अ॒ङ्गो न्वऽर्यमन्न॒स्या अ॒न्याः सम॑न॒माय॑ति
هذه الفتاةُ، يا أريامان، قد نهضتْ إلى الملتقى المشتركِ مع الأخريات. بل الآن، يا أريامان، تأتي نساءٌ أُخَرُ إلى ذلك الملتقى من أجلها (منافسات).

धा॒ता दा॑धार पृथि॒वीं धा॒ता द्यामु॒त सूर्य॑म्। धा॒तास्या अ॒ग्रुवै॒ पतिं॒ दधा॑तु प्रतिका॒म्यऽम्
إنَّ دْهاتَر (Dhātṛ) قد ثبَّتَ الأرضَ، ودْهاتَر السماءَ وسوريا (Sūrya). فليُقِمْ دْهاتَر لهذه الفتاةِ زوجًا يوافقُ رغبتَها.
