هذه الترتيلة الأثرفانية الوجيزة تعويذةٌ لطول العمر تُثبّت أدوات الحياة الباطنة—الذهن (مانس)، والوعي (چيتس)، والبصيرة/التمييز (دهي)، والنية (آكوتي)، والحواس—كيلا يختلّ الإدراك ولا تتبدّد الحيوية. وهي تُوائم مركّب البرانا (برانا، أبانا، فيانا) وتستدعي كلامَ ساراسفتي المُعينَ الحافظ، ثم تتضرّع إلى الرِّشيّين الإلهيين بوصفهم «حُرّاس الجسد» (تنوپاه) أن يلازموا الفاني ويُطيلوا أمدَ حياته.

दीर्घायुःप्राप्तिः। मन॑से॒ चेत॑से धि॒य आकू॑तय उ॒त चित्त॑ये । म॒त्यै श्रु॒ताय॒ चक्ष॑से वि॒धेम॑ ह॒विषा॑ व॒यम्

إلى مانَس (العقل)، وإلى چيتَس (الوعي)، وإلى دِهي (الفكرة المقدّسة)، وإلى آكوتي (النية/المقاصد)، وإلى چِتّا (الانتباه الثابت)؛ وإلى مَتي (الفهم)، وإلى شروتي (السمع)، وإلى چكشُس (البصر)—فلنؤدِّ العبادة بقُربان الهَفِس، نحنُ كذلك.

अ॒पा॒नाय॑ व्या॒नाय॑ प्रा॒णाय॒ भूरि॑धायसे । सर॑स्वत्या उरु॒व्यचे॑ वि॒धेम॑ ह॒विषा॑ व॒यम्

إلى أپانا (النَّفَس الهابط)، وإلى ڤيانا (النَّفَس الساري)، وإلى پرانا (نَفَس الحياة)، الواهبَ الغزيرَ العطاء؛ وإلى سارَسڤَتي ذاتِ القولِ الواسعِ الامتداد—فلنؤدِّ العبادة بقُربان الهَفِس، نحنُ كذلك.

मा नो॑ हासिषु॒र्ऋष॑यो॒ दैव्या॒ ये त॑नू॒पा ये न॑स्त॒न्वऽस्तनू॒जाः । अम॑र्त्या॒ मर्त्यां॑ अ॒भि नः॑ सचध्व॒मायु॑र्धत्त प्रत॒रं जी॒वसे॑ नः

لا يَهجُرْنا الرِّشِيّون الإلهيّون—حُرّاسُ الجسد، الحُمَاةُ المولودون مع الجسد لأجسادنا. أيّها الخالدون، الزموا نحنَ الفانين؛ وامنحونا عُمراً، أطولَ امتداداً، لكي نحيا.
