AV 2.26 ترنيمةٌ پاوستيكا-رَكشا لِـpaśu-saṃgraha: تدعو الأبقار أن «تتدفّق» إلى الـgoṣṭha (الحظيرة)، وأن تُقاد إلى البيت على الوجه الصحيح، ثم تُمسَك بإحكام كي لا تتيه أو تضيع. وباستدعاء بṛhaspati بوصفه الدليل العارف، وSinīvālī بوصفها القائدة المباركة في المقدّمة، وAnumati بوصفها القوّة التي تمنح وتُثبّت وتحفظ، يحوّل هذا السُّوكتا حظيرةَ الماشية إلى مركزٍ مختومٍ طقسيًّا للرخاء والحماية.
Mantra 1
पशुसंवर्धनम्। एह य॑न्तु प॒शवो॒ ये प॑रे॒युर्वा॒युर्येषां॑ सहचा॒रं जु॒जोष॑ । त्वष्टा॒ येषां॑ रूप॒धेया॑नि वेदा॒स्मिन् तान् गो॒ष्ठे स॑वि॒ता नि य॑छतु
فَلْتَأْتِ الماشيةُ إلى ههنا—تلك التي تاهت وخرجت—التي اتّخذها الريحُ (ڤايو Vāyu) رفيقًا في المسير. والتي يعرف تْڤاشْتْرِ (Tvaṣṭṛ) صورَها وعلاماتِها الخاصة: فليُثَبِّتْها سَڤيتَر (Savitar) في هذا الحظير، وليُمسِكْها في موضعها.

इ॒मं गो॒ष्ठं प॒शवः॒ सं स्र॑वन्तु॒ बृह॒स्पति॒रा न॑यतु प्रजा॒नन्। सि॒नी॒वा॒ली न॑य॒त्वाग्र॑मेषामाज॒ग्मुषो॑ अनुमते॒ नि य॑छ
إلى هذا الحظيرةِ فلتنصبَّ البهائمُ جميعًا معًا؛ وليقدْهم إلى هنا بṛhaspati العارفُ بالمخلوقات. ولتقدْ Sinīvālī أوائلَهم؛ وأنتِ يا Anumati، الذين قد جاؤوا—أمسكيهم مُحكَمًا ههنا.
Mantra 3
सं सं स्र॑वन्तु प॒शवः॒ समश्वाः॒ समु॒ पूरु॑षाः । सं धा॒न्यऽस्य॒ या स्फा॒तिः सं॑स्रा॒व्येऽण ह॒विषा॑ जुहोमि
لْتَتَدَفَّقِ الأنعامُ مُجْتَمِعَةً—والخيلُ مُجْتَمِعَةً، وكذلك الرجالُ. وما كان من زيادةٍ في الحَبِّ فليكن هو أيضًا مُجْتَمِعًا؛ وبقُربانٍ (هَفِس havis) جاذبٍ للتدفّق أُقَدِّمُ القُربانَ في النار.

सं सि॑ञ्चामि॒ गवां॑ क्षी॒रं समाज्ये॑न॒ बलं॒ रसम्। संसि॑क्ता अ॒स्माकं॑ वी॒रा ध्रु॒वा गावो॒ मयि॒ गोप॑तौ
أرشُّ معًا لبنَ البقر، ومع السمن المصفّى (ghṛta) قوّتَها وعُصارتَها. وبعد أن تُرشَّ رَشًّا حسنًا، فليَثْبُتْ أبطالُنا؛ ولتَثْبُتِ الأبقارُ فيَّ، أنا سيّدُ الماشية.

आ ह॑रामि॒ गवां॑ क्षी॒रमाहा॑र्षं धा॒न्यं॑१ रस॑म्। आहृ॑ता अ॒स्माकं॑ वी॒रा आ पत्नी॑रि॒दमस्त॑कम्
إلى هنا أجلبُ لبنَ البقر؛ وإلى هنا قد جلبتُ الحَبَّ، والعُصارة (rasa). وإلى هنا جِيءَ بأبطالِنا؛ وإلى هنا نِساؤُنا—فهذا المسكنُ (astaka) يصير لنا.
It is used to bring cattle together into the stall (goṣṭha), guide them safely back, and ritually prevent them from straying or being lost—thereby stabilizing pastoral wealth.
Bṛhaspati provides knowledgeable guidance and right order, Sinīvālī brings auspicious leading and successful arrival, and Anumati grants and ‘holds fast’ what has been gained so the herd remains secured.
Driving the herd into the pen while reciting, then closing/sealing the enclosure at the ‘hold fast’ line, and sprinkling milk mixed with ghee in the stall to affirm steadfastness (dhruvā) of cows and household strength.
