Sukta 6.11
Bharadvāja
Agni (with invited deities: Mitra-Varuṇa, Aśvins, Dyāvā-Pṛthivī)
Triṣṭubh
Mantra 1
Mantra 2
Mantra 3
Mantra 4
Mantra 5
Mantra 6
It asks Agni, the sacrificial priest (Hotṛ), to power the rite, bring other gods to the offering, and protect the worshippers so they can move beyond hardship and danger.
Agni is the inviter and messenger in the sacrifice. By calling these deities, the hymn shows that the fire-rite gathers powers of order (Mitra-Varuṇa), help and healing (Aśvins), and cosmic support (Dyāvā-Pṛthivī) around the yajña.
It is both a practical and spiritual prayer: to be led safely through crises and obstacles, and to be guided by Agni’s light and right impulse toward well-being and fullness (rāyas).
