Devata: Ādityas (collective), emphasizing their protective and purifying sovereignty

वामस्य हि प्रचेतस ईशानाशो रिशादसः । नेमादित्या अघस्य यत् ॥

Sanskrit recitationRig Veda 8.83.5

vāmásya hí prá-cetasa ī́śānāso riśā́dasaḥ | némādityā aghásya yat ||

For you, wide-awake in consciousness, are masters of the desirable good, destroyers of the harmful; O Ādityas, you do not yield to the assault of evil.
