Sukta 2.9
त्वं दूतस्त्वमु नः परस्पास्त्वं वस्य आ वृषभ प्रणेता । अग्ने तोकस्य नस्तने तनूनामप्रयुच्छन्दीद्यद्बोधि गोपाः ॥
tváṃ dūtás tvám u naḥ paraḥ-pā́s tváṃ vásya ā́ vṛṣabha pra-netā́ | ágne tokásya nas táne tanū́nām ápra-yucchan dī́dyad bodhi gopā́ḥ ||
تو پیغامبر ہے؛ تو ہمارا دور کا محافظ ہے؛ تو بہتری کی طرف رہنما ہے، اے طاقت کے بیل۔ اے اگنی، ہماری اولاد اور ہماری وجود کی توسیع کے لیے، ہم میں محافظ کی طرح جاگ - ناقابلِ شکست، روشنی سے جلتا ہوا۔
