Gadādhara
śaṅkhacakragadāpāṇir garuḍastho viyadgataḥ | uvāca meghagambhīradhīravāk puruṣottamaḥ || 7.40 ||
Varāha (defaulted by dialogue framework; explicit speaker not named in the verse)
It preserves a standard Purāṇic iconographic formula (śaṅkha–cakra–gadā) used to identify a Vaiṣṇava supreme figure, illustrating how narrative prose-poetry encodes visual theology and courtly Sanskrit style.
No specific terrestrial location is named here; the setting is explicitly aerial (viyat, “the sky”), functioning as a narrative transition rather than a place-reference.
No direct ethical injunction is stated in this verse; its function is descriptive—introducing the authoritative speaker whose subsequent discourse typically carries philosophical or cultural-heritage instruction.
