Varāha
It reflects a standard Purāṇic technique of situating events within manvantara time (here, Cākṣuṣa Manu), providing a cosmological chronology rather than a strictly historical timeline.
No terrestrial geographic site is named; the location is Brahmā’s abode (brahmaṇaḥ sadma), a cosmological setting rather than a mappable place.
The verse foregrounds an epistemic motive—didṛkṣā, the wish to see/know—framing knowledge-seeking and approach to a teacher/source as a culturally valued philosophical posture.
