raibhya uvāca | ahaṁ bṛhaspateḥ pārśve āgato'smi mahānṛpa | kiñcit-kāryāntaraṁ praṣṭum ahaṁ deva-purohitam || 5.10 ||
Raibhya
The verse preserves a common Purāṇic narrative convention: a named speaker reports approaching an authoritative figure (here Bṛhaspati) to seek clarification, reflecting the text’s pedagogical framing through dialogue.
No geographic location is specified in this verse; it focuses on a social setting (a king addressed) and an encounter with Bṛhaspati.
The verse foregrounds a procedural philosophical principle: seeking informed counsel from a recognized authority before acting on a matter of importance.
