अमायां वाथ यः कश्चिद्द्विजानामग्रतः पठेत् ॥ पितरस्तस्य तृप्यन्ति वर्षाणां शतमेव च ॥
amāyāṃ vātha yaḥ kaścid dvijānām agrataḥ paṭhet || pitaras tasya tṛpyanti varṣāṇāṃ śatam eva ca ||
และผู้ใดก็ตาม ในวันอมาวาสยา (วันเดือนดับ) สวด/อ่าน (คาถานี้) ต่อหน้าทวิชะทั้งหลาย บรรพชนของผู้นั้นย่อมอิ่มเอมตลอดครบหนึ่งร้อยปี
