I am the sovereign (rāṣṭrī), the gatherer/assembler of the Vasus; I bring forth the father of this (world) at the summit (mūrdhan). My womb is in the waters, within the ocean. Whoever thus knows (this) attains the state/abode of the Goddess. The gods said: ‘Homage to the Goddess, to the Great Goddess; to Śivā, constant homage. Homage to Prakṛti, the auspicious one; disciplined, we have bowed to her.’
