महत्तत्सोमो महिषश्चकारापां यद्गर्भोऽवृणीत देवान् । अदधादिन्द्रे पवमान ओजोऽजनयत्सूर्ये ज्योतिरिन्दुः ॥
Transliteration
mahát tát sómo mahiṣáś cakārāpā́ṃ yád gárbho ’vṛṇīta devā́n | ádadhād índre pávamāna ójo ’jánayat sū́rye jyótir índuḥ ||
Translation
โสมะผู้ทรงฤทธิ์ได้กระทำสิ่งอันยิ่งใหญ่: เมื่อเป็นครรภ์แห่งสายน้ำ ท่านได้เลือกเหล่าเทพ. ผู้ชำระให้บริสุทธิ์ได้วางพลังไว้ในอินทระ (Indra); อินทุ (Indu) ได้ก่อกำเนิดแสงสว่างในสุริยะ.
