Transliteration

vītī́ jánasya divyásya kavyáir ádhi suvānó nahuṣyébhir índuḥ | prá yó nṛ́bhir amṛ́to mártyebhir marmṛjānó’vibhír góbhir adbhiḥ ||

Translation

เพื่อความรื่นรมย์ของหมู่ชนทิพย์ ด้วยแรงดลใจของกวี โสมะหยดหนึ่งถูกคั้นออกพร้อมกับชนแห่งนะหุษยะ (Nahushya). เขาก้าวหน้า—เป็นอมฤตท่ามกลางปุถุชน—ถูกชำระและทำให้ใสด้วยฝูงแกะ (ขนแกะที่กรอง), ด้วยโค (ลำแสง), และด้วยสายน้ำ (กระแสแห่งความกระจ่าง)
