कविर्वेधस्या पर्येषि माहिनमत्यो न मृष्टो अभि वाजमर्षसि । अपसेधन्दुरिता सोम मृळय घृतं वसानः परि यासि निर्णिजम् ॥
kavír védhasyā páry eṣi mā́hinam átyo ná mṛṣṭó abhí vā́jam arṣasi | apasédhan duritā́ soma mṛḷaya ghṛtáṃ vásānaḥ pári yāsi nírṇijam ||
โสมะเอ๋ย ท่านเป็น कवि (ผู้เห็นบทสรรเสริญ) และเป็นเวธัส (ผู้รู้แจ้ง) ท่านเวียนไปโดยรอบด้วยมหิทธิฤทธิ์อันกว้างใหญ่ ดุจม้าศึกที่ขัดเกลาอย่างดี ท่านพุ่งสู่ vāja—ความอุดมแห่งพลังและความเต็มเปี่ยมแห่งชัยชนะ โสมะเอ๋ย จงผลักไสความคดเคี้ยวแห่งทุกข์ภัย แล้วโปรดเมตตาเรา เมื่อสวม ghṛta (ความสว่างใสประดุจเนยใส) เป็นอาภรณ์ ท่านเวียนรอบและรับเอาเครื่องนุ่งห่มอันบริสุทธิ์ (nirṇij)
