उताहं नक्तमुत सोम ते दिवा सख्याय बभ्र ऊधनि । घृणा तपन्तमति सूर्यं परः शकुना इव पप्तिम ॥
Transliteration
utā́haṃ náktam utá sóma te divā́ sakhyā́ya babhro ū́dhani | ghṛṇā́ tápantam áti sū́ryaṃ paráḥ śakunā́ iva paptimá ||
Translation
และข้าพเจ้า ทั้งยามราตรีและยามทิวา โสมะเอ๋ย เพื่อมิตรภาพกับท่าน จึงตั้งอยู่บนฐานอันหม่นคล้ำ (อูธนี) กระนั้นข้าพเจ้าปรารถนาจะโผบินไปไกลให้พ้นเลยดวงอาทิตย์อันแผดเผา ราวนกที่บินไกลสุดสาย
