आ त्वा रथं यथोतये सुम्नाय वर्तयामसि । तुविकूर्मिमृतीषहमिन्द्र शविष्ठ सत्पते ॥

ā́ tvā ratháṁ yáthोतáye sumnā́ya vartayāmasi | tuvikū́rmim ṛtīṣáham índra śáviṣṭha sátpate ||

เพื่อความเกื้อกูล และเพื่อความผาสุกอันครบถ้วน (สุมนะ) เราขอหันรถศึกของท่านให้มาสู่ที่นี่ ข้าแต่อินทระ (Indra) ผู้ทรงพลังยิ่ง ผู้เป็นเจ้าแห่งหนทางอันสัตย์จริง ผู้มีกำลังดุจคลื่นกว้างใหญ่ ผู้พิชิตการจู่โจมทั้งหลายที่มุ่งทำลายธรรมอันถูกต้อง
