Sukta 7.62
स सूर्य प्रति पुरो न उद्गा एभिः स्तोमेभिरेतशेभिरेवैः । प्र नो मित्राय वरुणाय वोचोऽनागसो अर्यम्णे अग्नये च ॥
sá sū́rya práti puró na udgā́ ebhíḥ stómebhir etaśébhir évaiḥ | prá no mitrā́ya váruṇāya voco'nā́gaso aryámṇe agnáye ca ||
โอ้สุริยะ จงขับขานนำหน้าเรา อยู่เบื้องหน้า ด้วยบทสรรเสริญอันรวดเร็วและแรงเร่งเร้าเหล่านี้. ขอถ้อยคำของเราจงไปถึงมิตร (Mitra) ถึงวรุณะ (Varuṇa) ถึงอริยมัน (Aryaman) และถึงอัคนี (Agni) เพื่อให้เราเป็นผู้ไร้โทษ (anāgas) และดำเนินไปตามระเบียบอันชอบธรรม.
