उत्सूर्यो बृहदर्चींष्यश्रेत्पुरु विश्वा जनिम मानुषाणाम् । समो दिवा ददृशे रोचमानः क्रत्वा कृतः सुकृतः कर्तृभिर्भूत् ॥

Transliteration

út sū́ryo bṛhád arcī́ṃṣy aśret purú víśvā jánima mā́nuṣāṇām | samó divā́ dadṛśe rócamānaḥ kratvā́ kṛtáḥ sukṛ́taḥ kartṛ́-bhir bhūt ||

Translation

สุริยะผุดขึ้น แผ่รัศมีอันไพศาล; ทรงทอดพระเนตรการเกิดอันมากมายและความเป็นไปทั้งปวงของมนุษย์. ในท่ามกลางวันทรงปรากฏอย่างเสมอภาค ส่องประกายให้เห็น; อันถูกก่อรูปด้วยพลังเจตจำนงแห่งการกระทำ (kratu) จึงเป็น ‘การทำอันดีงาม’ (sukṛta) ด้วยเหล่าผู้กระทำทั้งหลาย.
