Sukta 7.18
वि सद्यो विश्वा दृंहितान्येषामिन्द्रः पुरः सहसा सप्त दर्दः । व्यानवस्य तृत्सवे गयं भाग्जेष्म पूरुं विदथे मृध्रवाचम् ॥
ví sadyó víśvā dṛṁhitā́ny eṣām índraḥ púraḥ sáhasā saptá dardaḥ | vyā́navasya tṛ́tsave gáyaṁ bhā́g jeṣma pū́ruṁ vidáthe mṛ́dhravācam ||
อินทระด้วยพลังของพระองค์ ทรงทลายฉับพลันป้อมปราการอันแข็งกล้าทั้งปวงที่อยู่เบื้องหน้าพวกเขา—กำแพงกั้นเจ็ดชั้นของอำนาจผู้ขัดขวาง เพื่อจิตวิญญาณผู้มุ่งมั่นแห่งตฤตสุ (Tṛtsu) พระองค์ทรงชนะ ‘คยา’ (Gaya, ทุ่งแห่งพลังชีวิต) เป็นส่วนแบ่ง; และในสภาแห่งความรู้สึกตื่น (vidatha) พระองค์ทรงพิชิตปูรุ (Pūru) ผู้กล่าววาจาคดเคี้ยวและเป็นปฏิปักษ์.
