Sukta 5.3
अव स्पृधि पितरं योधि विद्वान्पुत्रो यस्ते सहसः सून ऊहे । कदा चिकित्वो अभि चक्षसे नोऽग्ने कदाँ ऋतचिद्यातयासे ॥
áva spṛdhi pitáraṃ yódhi vidvā́n putró yás te sahasaḥ sū́no ūhé | kadā́ cikitvo abhí cakṣase no 'gne kadā́ṃ ṛtácid yātayāse ||
จงมุ่งลงไปต่อกรกับบิดา จงรบในฐานะบุตรผู้รู้—โอ้อัคนี (Agni) ผู้เป็นบุตรแห่ง ‘พละ’ (sahas) ในการงานอันเร้นลับนั้น. โอ้ผู้มีปัญญาไตร่รู้ เมื่อใดเล่าท่านจะทอดพระเนตรเราด้วยสายตาอันเห็นแจ้ง? โอ้อัคนี เมื่อใดเล่าท่านจะขับพาและเปิดทางของเราไปข้างหน้า แม้ด้วย ‘ฤตะ’ (ṛta) คือสัจธรรมจักรวาลเอง?
