Sukta 4.18
नाहमतो निरया दुर्गहैतत्तिरश्चता पार्श्वान्निर्गमाणि । बहूनि मे अकृता कर्त्वानि युध्यै त्वेन सं त्वेन पृच्छै ॥
nā́ham áto nír ayā dúr-gahā́ etát tiraścátā pārśvā́n nír-gamāni | bahū́ni me á-kṛtā́ kartvā́ni yúdhyai tvéna sám tvéna pṛ́cchai ||
ข้าจะไม่ออกไปจากที่นี่ จากที่คับแคบอันผ่านพ้นได้ยากนี้ ด้วยทางตรง; ข้าจำต้องเล็ดลอดออกทางสีข้าง. งานอันยังมิได้กระทำของข้ามีมาก; เพื่อจะต่อสู้ให้ลุล่วง ข้าขอรวมเป็นหนึ่งกับท่าน และในความเป็นหนึ่งนั้นขอไต่ถามท่าน.
