Sukta 3.57
या ते अग्ने पर्वतस्येव धारासश्चन्ती पीपयद्देव चित्रा । तामस्मभ्यं प्रमतिं जातवेदो वसो रास्व सुमतिं विश्वजन्याम् ॥
yā́ te agne párvatasyeva dhā́rā́ asaścántī pī́payad deva citrā́ | tā́m asmábhyaṃ prámatim jātavedo vaso rā́sva sumatíṃ viśvájanyām ||
โอ อัคนี สายน้ำของท่านดุจธารเชี่ยวจากภูผา ไหลไม่ขาดสาย งดงามหลากสีสัน หล่อเลี้ยงให้สรรพสิ่งเจริญงอกงาม; โอ ชาตเวทัส (Jātavedas) โอ วสุ (Vasu) โปรดประทาน “ปรมติ” (pramati) คือคำชี้นำอันแจ่มชัดแก่เรา และโปรดให้ “สุมติ” (sumati) คือจิตอันดีงามที่เป็นของชนทั้งปวงแก่เราเถิด.
