Sukta 3.36
शुनं हुवेम मघवानमिन्द्रमस्मिन्भरे नृतमं वाजसातौ । शृण्वन्तमुग्रमूतये समत्सु घ्नन्तं वृत्राणि संजितं धनानाम् ॥
śunáṃ huvema maghávānam índram asmín bháre nṛ́-tamaṃ vā́ja-sātau | śṛṇvántam ugrám ūtáye samátsu ghnántaṃ vṛtrā́ṇi saṃjítam dhánānām ||
เพื่อความผาสุกของเรา ในศึกนี้เราขอเชิญอินทระผู้เอื้อเฟื้อ—ผู้กล้าหาญยิ่ง เพื่อชัยชนะอันนำมาซึ่งความอุดมสมบูรณ์. ขอพระองค์ทรงสดับเรา; ผู้ดุดันเพื่อการอุปถัมภ์ ท่ามกลางการปะทะทั้งหลาย ทรงฟาดฟันอุปสรรคคือวฤตระ (Vṛtra) และทรงเป็นผู้พิชิตทรัพย์สมบัติทั้งปวง.
