Sukta 3.14
आ होता मन्द्रो विदथान्यस्थात्सत्यो यज्वा कवितमः स वेधाः । विद्युद्रथः सहसस्पुत्रो अग्निः शोचिष्केशः पृथिव्यां पाजो अश्रेत् ॥
ā hótā mandró vidáthāny asthāt satyó yajvā́ kavítamaḥ sá vedhā́ḥ | vidyúd-rathaḥ sáhasas-putró agníḥ śocíṣ-keśaḥ pṛthivyā́ṃ pā́jo aśret ||
เปลวไฟอันรื่นรมย์—โหตฤ (Hotṛ) —ได้ยืนหยัดอยู่ท่ามกลางสภาชุมนุม (vidatha): ผู้สัตย์จริง ผู้ประกอบยัญ ผู้มีญาณกวีสูงสุด ผู้รู้การกระทำอันถูกต้อง. อัคนี (Agni) บุตรแห่งพลัง ผู้มีรถเป็นสายฟ้า ผู้มีเส้นผมเป็นเปลวเพลิง ได้แผ่เดชานุภาพของตนลงบนแผ่นดิน.
