Devata: Apām Napāt (hidden fire in waters); Indra as beneficiary of the honeyed waters

यो अनिध्मो दीदयदप्स्वन्तर्यं विप्रास ईळते अध्वरेषु । अपां नपान्मधुमतीरपो दा याभिरिन्द्रो वावृधे वीर्याय ॥

yó anidhmó dī́dayad apsv àntár yaṃ víprāsa ī́ḷate adhvaréṣu | apā́ṃ napān mádhumatīr apó dā yā́bhir índro vāvṛdhé vī́ryāya ||

ผู้ใดไร้เชื้อเพลิงแต่ส่องประกายอยู่ภายในน้ำทั้งหลาย—บรรดาฤษีผู้รู้ย่อมสรรเสริญและนอบน้อมเขาในพิธีบูชา. โอ อปาม นปาต จงประทานน้ำทั้งหลายอันมีรสน้ำผึ้งเถิด—ด้วยน้ำเหล่านั้น อินทระ (Indra) จึงเจริญเพิ่มพูนฤทธาแห่งวีรบุรุษ.
