ฤคเวท 10.184 เป็นบทสรรเสริญสั้นแต่ทรงพลังว่าด้วยการก่อกำเนิด เรียกขานช่างศักดิ์สิทธิ์หลายองค์ผู้สร้างสรรพสิ่งให้สถาปนาและคุ้มครองครรภ์ ขอให้วิษณุ “จัดเตรียมครรภ์” ให้ตวัสฏฤแต่งรูปกาย ให้ปรชาปติและธาตฤบันดาลและวางตัวอ่อน แล้ววอนสีนีวาลี สรัสวตี และอัศวินทั้งสองให้ทำให้การปฏิสนธิมั่นคง และนำเด็กไปสู่การคลอดครบกำหนดในเดือนที่สิบ

विष्णुर्योनिं कल्पयतु त्वष्टा रूपाणि पिंशतु । आ सिञ्चतु प्रजापतिर्धाता गर्भं दधातु ते ॥
ขอให้วิษณุ (Viṣṇu) จัดเตรียมครรภ์อันกว้างใหญ่ (yoni); ขอให้ตวษฏฤ (Tvaṣṭṛ) ปั้นแต่งรูปทั้งหลาย. ขอให้ปรชาปติ (Prajāpati) หลั่งพลังชีวิตลงมา; ขอให้ธาตฤ (Dhātṛ) วางตัวอ่อนให้แก่ท่าน.

โอ้ สินีวาลี จงวางครรภ์ (garbha) ไว้ในเรา จงวางครรภ์เถิด; โอ้ สรัสวตี จงวางครรภ์เถิด. ขอให้อัศวินทั้งสอง (Aśvinau) ผู้เป็นเทพ จงประดิษฐานครรภ์นั้นไว้ในท่าน—ผู้สวมพวงมาลัยดอกบัว (Puṣkarasrajā)—เพื่อให้การบังเกิดภายในมั่นคง.

हिरण्ययी अरणी यं निर्मन्थतो अश्विना । तं ते गर्भं हवामहे दशमे मासि सूतवे ॥
