यो अग्नीषोमा हविषा सपर्याद्देवद्रीचा मनसा यो घृतेन । तस्य व्रतं रक्षतं पातमंहसो विशे जनाय महि शर्म यच्छतम् ॥
yó agnī́ṣomā havíṣā saparyā́d devadrī́cā mánasā yó ghṛténa | tásya vratáṃ rakṣataṃ pātám aṃháso viśé jánāya máhi śárma yacchatam ||
ผู้ใดบูชาท่านทั้งสอง—อัคนีและโสมะ—ด้วยเครื่องบูชา ด้วยใจที่มุ่งสู่เทพ ด้วยความสว่างแห่งฆฤตะ (ghṛta) ขอท่านจงพิทักษ์วรตะ (vrata) ของเขา คุ้มครองเขาจากอัมหัส (aṃhas) และการตกสู่ความมืด; และขอประทานศรมัน (śarman) อันยิ่งใหญ่เป็นที่พึ่งแก่หมู่ชน แก่มนุษย์ทั้งหลาย.
