आ वो वहन्तु सप्तयो रघुष्यदो रघुपत्वानः प्र जिगात बाहुभिः । सीदता बर्हिरुरु वः सदस्कृतं मादयध्वं मरुतो मध्वो अन्धसः ॥
ā́ vo vahantu saptáyo raghuṣyádo raghu-pátvānaḥ prá jigāta bā́hubhiḥ | sī́datā bárhir urú vaḥ sádaḥ-kṛtáṃ mā́dayadhvaṃ maruto mádhvo ándhasaḥ ||
ขอให้ม้าทั้งเจ็ดผู้ว่องไวพาพวกท่านมาที่นี่—ขึ้นขี่ได้ฉับไว โผผินได้รวดเร็ว; จงก้าวมาข้างหน้าด้วยวงแขนอันทรงฤทธิ์. จงนั่งบนหญ้าศักดิ์สิทธิ์อันกว้าง (barhis) บนที่นั่งซึ่งจัดไว้เพื่อพวกท่าน; โอ มารุต จงดื่มด่ำให้เมามายด้วยแก่นสารหวานดุจน้ำผึ้ง (madhu)—ความรื่นรมย์ที่หล่อเลี้ยงวิญญาณ.
