यो अध्वरेषु शंतम ऋतावा होता तमू नमोभिरा कृणुध्वम् । अग्निर्यद्वेर्मर्ताय देवान्त्स चा बोधाति मनसा यजाति ॥
yo adhvaréṣu śáṃtama ṛtā́vā hótā tám ū́ námo bhir ā́ kṛṇudhvam | agnír yád vér mártāya devā́ntsá cā bódhāti mánasā yajāti ||
ในหนทางแห่งพิธีบูชา ผู้ประเสริฐที่สุดผู้ประทานสันติ ผู้เป็นโหตฤ (Hotṛ) ผู้ทรงรักษา ṛta (ระเบียบจักรวาล) — จงทำให้ท่านเป็นของท่านด้วยการนอบน้อมบูชา. เพราะเมื่ออัคนี (Agni) เลือกและชนะได้ซึ่งเหล่าเทพเพื่อมนุษย์ผู้มรรตยะ เขายังปลุกให้ตื่นในมโนสำนึก และบูชาด้วยใจ (manas).
