अस्मा इदु त्यमुपमं स्वर्षां भराम्याङ्गूषमास्येन । मंहिष्ठमच्छोक्तिभिर्मतीनां सुवृक्तिभिः सूरिं वावृधध्यै ॥
asmā́ íd u tyám upa-máṃ svaḥ-sā́ṃ bhárāmy āṅgū́ṣam āsyèna | maṃhíṣṭham ácchoktibhir matīnā́ṃ suvṛ́ktibhiḥ sū́riṃ vāvṛ́dhadhyai ||
ข้าพเจ้าถวายแก่ท่านด้วยปากนี้ซึ่งบทสวดอันมีแรงดลใจ—พลังสูงสุดไร้สิ่งเทียบ ที่ชนะและได้มาซึ่งสวรรค์อันส่องสว่าง ด้วยถ้อยคำอันกระจ่างจากความคิด และด้วยวาจาที่ร้อยเรียงอย่างงดงาม ข้าพเจ้าปรารถนาจะเพิ่มพูนวีรบุรุษอินทระ (Indra) เพื่อให้ผู้นำภายในของเราทั้งหลายเติบโตด้วยฤทธานุภาพในหมู่เรา
