अस्मा इदु प्र तवसे तुराय प्रयो न हर्मि स्तोमं माहिनाय । ऋचीषमायाध्रिगव ओहमिन्द्राय ब्रह्माणि राततमा ॥
asmā́ íd u prá távase turā́ya práyo ná harmi stómaṃ mā́hināya | ṛcī́ṣamāyā́dhrigava óham índrāya bráhmāṇi rātátamā ||
แท้จริงเพื่อท่านผู้นั้น—อินทราผู้มีกำลังอันรวดเร็ว—ข้าพเจ้าขอนำบทสรรเสริญออกมาถวาย ดุจนำพลังหล่อเลี้ยงมาเพื่อความยิ่งใหญ่ของท่าน แด่อินทรา ผู้เป็นเจ้าแห่งวาจาศักดิ์สิทธิ์อันอุดม และผู้มีกำลังดุจโคผู้มั่นคงไม่หวั่นไหว ข้าพเจ้าถวายมนตร์เหล่านี้—ถ้อยคำพรหมัน (brahman) อันให้ทานได้ยิ่ง—เป็นของกำนัลแท้จากดวงจิต
