Sukta 1.55
दानाय मनः सोमपावन्नस्तु तेऽर्वाञ्चा हरी वन्दनश्रुदा कृधि । यमिष्ठासः सारथयो य इन्द्र ते न त्वा केता आ दभ्नुवन्ति भूर्णयः ॥
dānā́ya mánaḥ soma-pāvan astu te’rvā́ñcā hárī vandana-śrudā́ kṛdhi | yámiṣṭhāsaḥ sāratháyo yá indra te ná tvā ketā́ ā́ dabhnuvanti bhūrṇáyaḥ ||
โอผู้ดื่มโสมะ ขอให้จิตของท่านหันสู่การให้ทาน; ขอให้ม้าสีน้ำตาลทองทั้งสองของท่านเข้ามาใกล้ เป็นผู้สดับฟังคำสรรเสริญของเรา. เพราะสารถีของท่าน โออินทระ ผู้ยับยั้งได้ยิ่งและมั่นคงที่สุด แรงเร้าอันหมุนวนย่อมลวงท่านมิได้ และนิมิตอันเท็จก็มิอาจครอบงำท่าน
