Sukta 1.52
अभि स्ववृष्टिं मदे अस्य युध्यतो रघ्वीरिव प्रवणे सस्रुरूतयः । इन्द्रो यद्वज्री धृषमाणो अन्धसा भिनद्वलस्य परिधीँरिव त्रितः ॥
abhí svavṛ́ṣṭiṃ máde asya yúdhyato raghvī́r iva praváṇe sasrur ūtáyaḥ | índro yád vajrī́ dhṛṣámāṇo ándhasā bhínad válasya paridhī́ṃr iva tritáḥ ||
เมื่อเขาต่อสู้ในความปีติคลั่ง มุ่งสู่การหลั่งไหลของตนเอง (svavṛṣṭi) บรรดาความเกื้อกูล (ūtayaḥ) ก็แล่นมา ดุจธารน้ำอันรวดเร็วไหลลงตามลาดเขา ครั้นอินทระ (Indra) ผู้ถือวัชระ (vajra) กล้าหาญในความรื่นรมย์แห่งโสมะ (Soma) ผ่าเครื่องกั้นของวละ (Vala) ประหนึ่งหักขอบล้อ—แล้วความอุดมอันซ่อนเร้นก็ถูกเปิดออก
