Sukta 1.51
त्वं मायाभिरप मायिनोऽधमः स्वधाभिर्ये अधि शुप्तावजुह्वत । त्वं पिप्रोर्नृमणः प्रारुजः पुरः प्र ऋजिश्वानं दस्युहत्येष्वाविथ ॥
tvaṃ māyābhir apa māyino ’dhamaḥ svadhābhir ye adhi śuptāv ajuhvata | tvaṃ pipror nṛmaṇaḥ prārujaḥ puraḥ pra ṛjiśvānaṃ dasyu-hatyeṣv āvitha ||
ด้วยฤทธิ์เดชแห่งมายา (māyā) ของพระองค์ พระองค์ทรงเหวี่ยงล้มพวกหลอกลวง—ผู้ต่ำต้อยที่สุด ผู้ซึ่งด้วยสวธา (svadhā) อันตามใจตน เรียกหา “นิทรา” (Nidrā) และบูชายัญ. โอ้ผู้ทรงพลังแห่งความเป็นบุรุษ พระองค์ทรงผ่าเปิดป้อมปราการอันแข็งกล้าของปิปรุ (Pipru); และในการสังหารพวกดัสยุ (dasyu) พระองค์ทรงเกื้อหนุนฤชิศวานะ (Ṛjiśvāna) ให้ฝ่าความมืดทึบ เปิดทางออกมา.
