घृतप्रतीकं व ऋतस्य धूर्षदमग्निं मित्रं न समिधान ऋञ्जते । इन्धानो अक्रो विदथेषु दीद्यच्छुक्रवर्णामुदु नो यंसते धियम् ॥

ghṛta-pratīkaṃ va ṛtasya dhūḥ-sadam agniṃ mitraṃ na samidhāna ṛñjate | indhāno akro vidatheṣu dīdyac chukra-varṇām ud u no yaṃsate dhiyam ||

อัคนีผู้มีพระพักตร์สว่างดุจฆี (เนยใส) ประทับอยู่บนฐานแห่ง ṛta (ระเบียบอันเที่ยงธรรมของจักรวาล) ถูกจุดขึ้นดุจมิตร (Mitra) และถูกตั้งไว้อย่างเป็นระเบียบ ครั้นลุกโชนแล้ว พระองค์ไม่เอนอ่อน ส่องประกายในสภาทั้งหลาย และทรงชูขึ้นเพื่อเรา ซึ่งความคิดดลใจอันมีสีสันเรืองรอง
