Sukta 1.114
मा नो महान्तमुत मा नो अर्भकं मा न उक्षन्तमुत मा न उक्षितम् । मा नो वधीः पितरं मोत मातरं मा नः प्रियास्तन्वो रुद्र रीरिषः ॥
mā́ no mahā́ntam utá mā́ no arbhakáṃ mā́ na ukṣántam utá mā́ na ukṣitám | mā́ no vadhīḥ pitáraṃ mótá mātáraṃ mā́ naḥ priyā́s tanvò rudra rīriṣaḥ ||
อย่าฟาดฟันกำลังอันยิ่งใหญ่ของเรา และอย่าฟาดฟันความเริ่มต้นอันน้อยของเรา อย่าทำร้ายสิ่งที่กำลังเติบโต และอย่าทำร้ายสิ่งที่เติบโตแล้ว อย่าฆ่าบิดาของเรา และอย่าฆ่ามารดาของเรา โอรุทระ โปรดอย่าทำให้กายอันเป็นที่รักของเราบอบช้ำเลย.
