Sukta 1.102
त्वां देवेषु प्रथमं हवामहे त्वं बभूथ पृतनासु सासहिः । सेमं नः कारुमुपमन्युमुद्भिदमिन्द्रः कृणोतु प्रसवे रथं पुरः ॥
tvā́ṃ devéṣu prathamáṃ havāmahe tváṃ babhū́tha pṛ́tanāsu sāsahíḥ | sémáṃ naḥ kā́rum upa-mányum ud-bhídam índraḥ kṛṇotu prasavé ráthaṃ puráḥ ||
ในหมู่เทพทั้งหลาย เราขอเรียกท่านก่อนเป็นปฐม; ท่านได้เป็นผู้พิชิตในศึกสงครามทั้งปวง. ขออินทระทรงทำให้นักขับสรรเสริญผู้นี้ของเราเป็นผู้ทำลายความโกรธ เป็นผู้ผ่าอุปสรรค; และในยามแห่งแรงผลักดันให้ก้าวหน้า ขอทรงตั้งรถศึกของเราไว้เบื้องหน้า.
